Settling In

McDoner, the first place I ate. Tres bon!
I have successfully made it to my intended destination with little to no bumps or hiccups. That being said, I haven't really slept since Saturday night, and even that is pushing it. So at this point the room is spinning and it feels as is my body is being pushed in every direction. I feel like I am about to fall off while laying on a wide flat surface. My body has been whipped around from Indy to Brussels, so it will take some time to physically adjust.

But I've made it. I have achieved what I thought to be impossible. It is only by the grace of God that things went as smoothly as they did. I mean, I got through customs within seconds. No words exchanged, no questions asked. Hand them the passport. They stamp it, and it is back in my hands within a few seconds.

So what's next? I'm still settling in. I've walked around a bit. I kind of have to, I've been cramped in an airplane seat for a day. I have to keep my exposure to the culture to a minimum at this point. I am in a fragile state. As in i just go off a plane and I'm really tired. So it is best that i rest up, unpack, and get some normal sleep before really submerging myself in the culture.

That, and learn French. That is very important.

But for now, I must rest. This is only the beginning of my journey.
