Starting Point

After months of waiting patiently and in uncertainty, all is beginning to pay off. I'm at that point in my life where I have nothing to lose and everything to gain. All other doors have closed except this one, and this is the most exciting off all the possibilities. Though, I do have to say that this road has not without its challenges.

I am a young man who is lost and is trying to serve Christ in every aspect of his life. That becomes very challenging when life itself has just stopped. After my semester at the LA Film Studies Center, life just seemed to collapse around me. Most of my friends have moved on with their lives, the job market is rubbish, and I felt I was without direction or purpose in life.

I just happened to stumble across this opportunity on the internet. I was told by several people that now is the time in my life to travel, but I felt that it was best to do so serving God. The whole tourist thing isn't for me. The more I toyed with the thought the more I felt that I needed to find something like this. Low and behold, here I am. If God had not wanted to do this, i would like to think other opportunities would have presented themselves. This has been a long and difficult journey. One that has, and will continue to put my faith too the test.

Right. Now most of you were directed here because of an email or a posting on a social networking site. I will do my best to keep this up to date. That will be easier once something happens, haha. But, when something does happen, expect to see: written entries (like this one), video updates (i am a filmmaker after all), and tons of photos. I am a very visual individual, and I would rather show than tell.

I truly believe that this is what God has called me to do right now. Please keep me in your prayers as I continue to prepare and raise finical support for this journey.
