ME! Filming some awesome street musicians just outside the Grande Place/Grote Markt |
The first shot was kinda "meh". I mean, this is the first serious shooting I've done since LA. That is, if one does not include work and my personal project earlier in the year. But this is the first shots of people I've gotten in over a year. But once the ball gets rolling, I am more than pleased with the results. I forgot that I can really shoot! There is always room for improvement, but what I got is nothing to laugh at!
It takes me out of my comfort zone. I've never been comfortable filming people in public. But by acting like I was supposed to be doing this, no one seemed to care. Only two groups of people really noticed what I was doing: photographers and children.
Photogs were giving me odd looks because of my more cinema-like set up. Children on the other hand just like to make faces into the camera. Who can blame them. I do the same thing when one is pointed at me.
Everything just felt right. Because it is. If there is one thing I know I was made to do, its film. That's kind of why I am over here. To both serve Christ through film/documentary and help spread the Gospel. Its a bit odd knowing that this will be used for that. I'm not used to filming anything that will be used or seen.
I am currently working on a script for a "vlog". Those who know me know this won't be you average video blog.
Despite have my camera out and about, I didn't really take any pictures. So here are a few stills I pulled from the footage for you all to enjoy!
