Resettling In

It has been a very crazy time. Italy 3 weeks, Paris 2 weeks, and now I am back in Brussels. Time for things to get back to normal. Well, normal for me that is. Living in a European city is still crazy to some.

Readjustment has been interesting. I moved back up to the apartment, as my boss was gone 3 weeks before i returned. I've been sick, so i have not had the energy to get my stuff completely put away. I'm lucky i've had the energy to get groceries.

I'm starting to feel better, and its time to get to work. I have so much to get done! Cleaning (being sick kinda prevented that), organizing and sorting about 1000 video clips, and editing several things. I've been meaning to do another post of Rome. I really really want to, but i have not had the time or energy. On top of that i really don't know what to say.

The biggest change i have to adjust to is people. In both Italy and Paris, I was interacting with people. In Bellaria at Europe together, it was other missionaries. In Rome, it was the missionary and the congregation (made several new friends). In Paris, it was family. This was on a daily basis at all locations. In Brussels, I don't really have that. I was used to it before i left. I interacted little offline through the week, and had Sunday as my large social day. I would go to lunch with friends after church, and by the time i got back i had to start thinking about dinner. There were other events every now and then as well.

But from a lot of interaction (to the point where i needed to get away from people), to little interaction (where i cannot wait to be around people) is the biggest adjustment. An easy one, i can shift between the two pretty easily these days, but it is still a big one. This is the difference between filming and editing. It is a complete lifestyle change, which in my case is just shifting aspects of the lifestyle. Its as natural and normal as the changing of the seasons. Its a blessing to actually be so dynamic with a lifestyle in my opinion.

It still takes time. Things to not adapt over night. I think the biggest help will be getting over this cold and getting my energy back. Lots of work to be done. I will post pictures from my adventures when i can, along with a new video update. I will possibly finish my entry on Rome. We'll see.
