After a very crazy first month and a half, June seems to be a much slower month. Not as much travel this month. In fact, none at all. A lot of our contacts have fallen through. Tried England and Ireland, never heard back. The international church (the Bridge) in Paris, head from the sr pastor who is state side till sometime in July but no one else on this side of the pond.
But that does not mean that there isn't work to be done in Brussels. For one, I need to finish up the story on Students for Christ Brussels. That should not be too difficult. I live in the SfC house. Just need the interview and to dwindle down the amount of useable footage (about 45 minutes when i only need about 5-10 minutes). And there are several other ministries associated with AGWM here in the city. My boss is currently trying to get in contact with them.
Also, with this "downtime", there is some rather tedious work that needs to be done: building a graphics package. In other words, its all the little things you might see in media of this type. Logo, lower third (aka where i show the name and title at the bottom of the screen), etc. Dull, boring, and oh so vital. Lets me play with Adobe After Effects a bit more.
And if anything, with the weather being nice, I have time to do some exploring. I've picked up street photography as a result. Check out the posting on my personal blog for more details and pictures! That and sitting in one of the parks around here and having myself a little picnic is one of the simple joys in life.
But something tells me i should enjoy this downtime while I can. Lets pray that this is just the calm before the storm of heavy travel and filmmaking. God has already started to work and this is only the beginning. I have still experienced more than I could have dreamed so far, and that will only continue.
If you haven't yet, go check out vlogs 1 and 2 and perhaps my pictures from GoBorderless. Vlog 3 is in the works for next month.
Please keep me in your prayers and that my amount of travel and work (same thing) increases. There are stories that need to be told.
Stephan,
ReplyDeleteThanks for being so faithful in posting updates. Having kept a blog while travelling, I know how tedious that can be, but it really helps me to keep up with what you are doing and how to support you in prayer.
